Recap: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Century Centurions
The Magnolia Sentinels can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They secured a 46-41 W over Century. That's another feather in the cap for Magnolia, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Elijah Jones, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Derrick Cline, who scored ten points.
Magnolia's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18. As for Century, they bumped their record down to 12-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Magnolia will take on Savanna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Savanna knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Magnolia likes a good challenge. As for Century, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Western at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Western's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
