Volleyball Recap: Hesperia Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Hesperia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners on Thursday.

Hesperia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-14.

Hesperia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kitana Tapopo, who had 13 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Tapopo has posted over her last seven games. The team also got some help courtesy of Deziree Mendoza, who had ten digs.

Hesperia pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Loma Linda Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Hesperia will face off against Burroughs at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Loma Linda Academy, they will welcome Redlands Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
