Basketball Game Preview: Adairsville Tigers vs. Gilmer Bobcats

Having just played yesterday, the Adairsville Tigers will get right back to it and host the Gilmer Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adairsville is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Adairsville is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since November 16, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 50-20 defeat at the hands of Calhoun. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Gilmer was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest Whitfield on Wednesday, taking the game 58-47.

Gilmer's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Adairsville, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Adairsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Gilmer in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 40-33. Will Adairsville repeat their success, or does Gilmer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
