Softball Recap: Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Comes Up Short

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional lost against Panther Valley back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Raiders came up short against the Panthers, falling 19-4. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabby Dusendschine made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Maggie Gownley also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Panther Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional will host North Schuylkill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Red Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Panther Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pine Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
