Williston-Elko's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 62-48 bruising from Bamberg-Ehrhardt.
Meanwhile, Horse Creek Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Wardlaw Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-29 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Horse Creek Academy who now have four in a row.
Horse Creek Academy found their leader in underclassman Kingston Hightower, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The contest was Hightower's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gary Abraham , who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Williston-Elko's loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Horse Creek Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
