Volleyball Recap: Bellwood-Antis Takes a Loss

Bellwood-Antis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Bellwood-Antis was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-18.

Hollidaysburg found their leader in sophomore Delayni Baird, who had four digs and three aces. Baird is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Bellwood-Antis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hollidaysburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Bellwood-Antis has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Penns Valley Area on the 11th. As for Hollidaysburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bellefonte on the 11th.
