Baseball Recap: Beaver Local Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Beaver Local ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Weir Red Riders. The victory was nothing new for the Beavers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Beaver Local let Peyton Martin and Tysen Hammonds run wild. Martin got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Hammonds went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jett Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Beaver Local kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Beaver Local's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Weir, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-16.

Beaver Local will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Oak Glen at 5:00 p.m. As for Weir, they will be playing at home against Tyler at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
