Preview: Patriot Prep Academy Eagles vs. KIPP Columbus Jaguars
The Patriot Prep Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Patriot Prep Academy struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (Worthington Christian had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Patriot Prep Academy was beaten by Worthington Christian 73-43. Patriot Prep Academy has struggled against Worthington Christian recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dominic Sammons, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds. Benjamin Williams was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, KIPP Columbus took a serious blow against Bexley on Tuesday, falling 65-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points KIPP Columbus has scored all season.
Patriot Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for KIPP Columbus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Patriot Prep Academy couldn't quite finish off KIPP Columbus when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 62-60. Can Patriot Prep Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
