Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paradise Valley). Everything went their way against the North Mustangs on Thursday as they made off with a 22-1 victory. With that win, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jordy Nelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Paradise Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise. Nelson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tadeo Salinas was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Drew England, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Paradise Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory got Paradise Valley back to even at 8-8. As for North, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Paradise Valley has already played their next game, an 11-4 win against Shadow Mountain on the 4th. As for North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Metro Tech on the 4th.
