Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Triumphs

After losing to Socorro the last time they met, Jefferson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Silver Foxes came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Socorro's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dulce Cardona, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Alyssa Almanza, who had 21 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Cardona is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

The victory got Jefferson back to even at 5-5. As for Socorro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Coming up, Jefferson will face off against Clint at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Socorro, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Dumas on the 28th.
