Baseball Game Preview: Pacific Pirates vs. Big Bear Bears

The Pacific Pirates will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Big Bear Bears at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Pacific will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs last Tuesday, then bounced right back against Public Safety Academy on Thursday. Pacific blew past Public Safety Academy 16-2.

Meanwhile, everything went Big Bear's way against Southlands Christian on Tuesday as Big Bear made off with a 13-6 win.

Bristan Gilligan was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

The victory got Pacific back to even at 1-1. As for Big Bear, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
