It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Arbor View had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bishop Gorman Gaels. The victory continues a trend for the Aggies in their matchups with the Gaels: they've now won six in a row.

Audrey Melton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Madilyn Lowy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Peyton Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Arbor View's record is now 24-7. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16-2 record this season.

Arbor View and Bishop Gorman are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Aggies will welcome Shadow Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arbor View's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Bishop Gorman, they will square off against Green Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.41 runs per game on average), something the Gaels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
