Basketball Recap: Moulton Comes Up Short

Moulton and Richards squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Moulton had to settle for second. They lost to the Richards Panthers on the road by a 55-39 margin.

Richards found their leader in sophomore OWEN PIERSALL, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 30 points along with six rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, PIERSALL is now averaging an impressive 21 points per game. Another player making a difference was HEATH GRAVES, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Moulton's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Richards, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

Moulton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richards, they have already played their next contest, a 40-32 defeat against McMullen County on the 21st.
