Coral Gables fell victim to South Dade and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 23-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for South Dade, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Coral Gables will take on Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for South Dade, they will face off against Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
