Football Game Preview: Stone Ridge Christian Knights vs. Linden Lions + Official Tickets

After each having a week off, the Stone Ridge Christian Knights and the Linden Lions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stone Ridge Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Last Friday, Stone Ridge Christian earned a 24-13 win over San Rafael.

Stone Ridge Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daijon Oneil led the charge by rushing for 131 yards and a pair of TDs. Another rusher making a difference was Tj Mathews, who gained 147 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stone Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Linden entered their contest against Summerville last Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Bears.

Stone Ridge Christian will have to contain Andrew Juarez as he made an impact in Linden's last game. He rushed for 136 yards and three scores. Juarez is becoming a predictor of Linden's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Linden's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Stone Ridge Christian has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 171.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Linden struggles in that department as they've been averaging 201.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
