Volleyball Recap: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Etiwanda Eagles

Upland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Etiwanda Eagles. The Highlanders/Scots were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Upland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Leading Etiwanda to victory were Meaalofa Tauaese and Kamryn Andrews. Tauaese had 18 assists and 14 digs, while Andrews had nine digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Tauaese is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Upland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Etiwanda, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-11 record this season.
