Baseball Game Preview: Oldenburg Academy Twisters vs. Seton Catholic Cardinals

The Oldenburg Academy Twisters will head out to face off against the Seton Catholic Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Centerville hit Oldenburg Academy with a seven-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Twisters came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-1. The Twisters have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Seton Catholic fell victim to Eastern Hancock and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 1-0. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Oldenburg Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Seton Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Oldenburg Academy took their victory against Seton Catholic when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Twisters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
