 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Germantown Mavericks had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They were the clear victor by a  47-22 margin over the Jaguars. Germantown has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12  matches by 24  points or more this season.
 Germantown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Charlie Gamberine led the charge by  scoring 12 points along with two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Alana Rouser, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on ten points and nine  rebounds.
 The  win (which was Germantown's sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-9. As for DeSoto Central, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-15.
 Germantown will face off against Madison Central at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Madison Central focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Friday. DeSoto Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
