The Gulf Shores Dolphins will face off against the Mobile Christian Leopards at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Mobile Christian will be up against a hot Gulf Shores squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Gulf Shores came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against Mortimer Jordan.

The team relied heavily on Jacob O'Bryan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Gulf Shores is 6-1 when O'Bryan posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Price Stephens, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Gulf Shores hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mortimer Jordan struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Mobile Christian can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Foley. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Leopards have posted since February 28th.
Ethan McLarty looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.
At the plate, Aiden Gaston was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Bryce Rivers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
Gulf Shores' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Mobile Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Gulf Shores came up short against Mobile Christian when the teams last played on March 4th, falling 17-13. Can Gulf Shores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
