Soccer Game Preview: Pleasanton vs. Floresville

The Pleasanton Eagles will head out to challenge the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pleasanton lost 4-1 to Somerset on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Floresville came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) as they made off with a 5-1 victory. Considering the Tigers/Jaguars have won ten games by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Floresville pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three contests. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Pleasanton suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Floresville in their previous matchup back in January. Can Pleasanton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
