Volleyball Recap: Newton Falls Takes a Loss

If Newton Falls was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Waterloo on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaBrae Vikings on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Newton Falls was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made LaBrae work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 19-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Newton Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for LaBrae, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Newton Falls has already played their next contest (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for LaBrae, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Champion on the 28th.
