Volleyball Recap: Susquehanna Comes Up Short

Susquehanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Elk Lake Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Susquehanna started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-14.

Camryn Sellitto paced Susquehanna's offense, picking up eight kills. Sellitto got some help from Lauren Huyck and her 20 assists. Jordyn Spoor controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Susquehanna's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Elk Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.

Susquehanna has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 20th. As for Elk Lake, they will challenge West Scranton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
