On Saturday, Franklin-Simpson faced Metcalfe County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Metcalfe County Hornets 72-45. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Franklin-Simpson is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points over those games. Metcalfe County moved to 27-6 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin-Simpson Wildcats challenge George Rogers Clark Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
