Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edna walked away with it. They strolled past the Goliad Tigers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-32. Winning may never get old, but the Cowboys sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Edna pushed their record up to 25-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Goliad, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-19.

Looking ahead, Edna will take on Crystal City on Thursday. Crystal City will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Edna surely won't give up without a fight. Goliad does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
