Volleyball Game Preview: Porterville Panthers vs. Redwood Rangers + Official Tickets

Porterville hasn't had much luck against Redwood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Rangers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Porterville took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Golden West with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now won seven in a row.

Porterville was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Redwood made easy work of Monache on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Redwood's got stronger as the match went on, holding Monache to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Redwood's win bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Porterville, their victory bumped their record up to 25-7.

Porterville skirted past Redwood 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
