Volleyball Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield lost against Buhler back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Crusaders. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Winfield ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Karsyn Hutto and Rheegyn Richert, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Addie Flaton and her nine assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Winfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Buhler, their win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.

Looking ahead, Winfield will take on Conway Springs on Saturday. As for Buhler, they will head out to face off against McPherson on Tuesday.
