Volleyball Recap: Palo Verde Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with 'Iolani

Palo Verde is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of 'Iolani. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

Among those leading the charge was Bailey Nakanelua, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Elle Arceneaux also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Palo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for 'Iolani, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Palo Verde didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Woodrow Wilson on the 20th. As for 'Iolani, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Marymount on the 20th.
