Football Recap: Sylacauga Piles Up the Points Against Montevallo

Sylacauga got themselves on the board against Montevallo on Friday, but Montevallo never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 33-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Aggies just coasted through the last quarter.

Zakorien Chambliss had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.

Sylacauga has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.5 points this season. As for Montevallo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sylacauga and Montevallo will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Aggies will face off against rival Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Montevallo is set to take on their familiar foe Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
