Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Prep Takes a Loss

The St. Mary's Prep Eaglets didn't have quite enough to beat the Defiance Bulldogs on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Eaglets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Defiance, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, St. Mary's Prep will square off against Perrysburg at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Eaglets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Defiance, they will be playing at home against Kenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
