Soccer Game Preview: Westminster Christian vs. Cardinal Gibbons

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Westminster Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Westminster Christian's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They blew past Gulliver Prep 4-0. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by four goals or more this season.

They hit Gulliver Prep with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Julianna Riccio (2), Carolina Ibanez, and Reese Harris.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Cardinal Gibbons' good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They and Bishop Verot finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Chiefs' first draw of the season.

Cardinal Gibbons' draw gives them a new season record of 5-4-1. As for Westminster Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
