Cairo and Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cairo had to settle for second. They lost to the Dragons on the road by a 47-28 margin. The Syrupmakers were up 21-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Cairo lost, don't look at Bryian Duncan Jr. Despite the final result, he picked up 179 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 167 yards and two scores on only eight carries.

Jefferson had a senior duo take command as Colton Grant rushed for 30 yards and one touchdown and Dalton Dye picked up 57 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
