Volleyball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Northern Cambria Colts, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-15.

United's offense was headlined by Peyton Thomas and Sophia Overdorff, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Lilly Mcginnis and her 11 assists. Overdorff also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hailey Garshnick, each putting up two.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-2. As for Northern Cambria, they pushed their record up to 12-9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

United didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Conemaugh Valley on the 7th. As for Northern Cambria, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Cambria Heights on the 7th.
