Football Game Preview: Deuel vs. Bon Homme

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps national rankings, Deuel should expect quite the challenge on Thursday. They will take on Bon Homme at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Deuel and Bon Homme will really light up the scoreboard.

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Deuel, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They took the matchup and then some with a 44-6 win over Waverly/South Shore last Friday. Deuel found Deuel's leader in underclassman sophomore Carter Hoffman, who rushed for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hoffman has been a consistent playmaker for Deuel as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Bon Homme put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Platte/Geddes to the tune of 58-8. The victory was familiar territory for Bon Homme, who now have six in a row.

Deuel took a serious blow against Bon Homme the last time the two teams met, falling 0-50. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
