Pelham dropped their record down to 6-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hanover Bears by a score of 5-4. The Pythons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pelham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Hardy, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Zach Dutton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Hanover, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

On Hanover's side, Alex Boone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. Boone has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sean Nam, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Jack Lobb was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pelham will square off against rival Souhegan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pythons 3.4, the Sabers 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
