Soccer Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Sea Kings are ranked ninth).

South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Palos Verdes, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-2.

South didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against El Segundo on the 31st. Palos Verdes has also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Redondo Union on the 31st.
