Preston entered their tilt with Marsh Valley on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Tylee Archibald made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since April 1st. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Preston let Brielle Biggs and Averie Madsen run wild. Biggs went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles, while Madsen went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Biggs has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tess Jones, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Preston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marsh Valley only posted a batting average of .281.
Preston's record is now 19-1. As for Marsh Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season.
