Dynamic duo of Dejon Williams and Jared Percy lead Medgar Evers College Prep to victory

Medgar Evers College Prep posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wingate 47-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Medgar Evers College Prep also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading Medgar Evers College Prep to victory were Dejon Williams and Jared Percy. Williams scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five assists, while Percy scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriel Fleming, who scored eight points.
Medgar Evers College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Wingate, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
After both having extra time off, Medgar Evers College Prep and Frank J. Macchiarola will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. Wingate will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prospect Heights at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th.
