Baseball Recap: David Crockett Takes a Loss

David Crockett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones. That's two games in a row now that the Pioneers have lost by exactly three runs.

Aj Ford was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Gabe Story, who earned two RBI and one stolen base.

David Crockett's record now sits at 10-17. As for Elizabethton, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. David Crockett will challenge rival Sullivan East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Elizabethton is set to square off against their familiar foe Tennessee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
