Softball Recap: Rosemount Irish vs. Apple Valley Eagles
Rosemount gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Apple Valley Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Irish, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anna Price and Jorey Fry made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Price struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Fry tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Price scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Fry scored a run while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Rosemount let Rachel Stone and Ella Erickson run wild. Stone got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Erickson scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzi Benson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Rosemount always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apple Valley only posted an OBP of .071.
