Basketball Game Preview: Conway Springs Cardinals vs. Wichita HomeSchool Warriors

The Conway Springs Cardinals will challenge the Wichita HomeSchool Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wichita HomeSchool took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Conway Springs, who comes in off a win.

Conway Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Belle Plaine 70-37. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Wichita HomeSchool unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Wellington by a score of 49-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Crusaders are ranked 145th).

Conway Springs is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Wichita HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Conway Springs might still be hurting after the 56-34 defeat they got from Wichita HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Conway Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
