Garfield waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Crestview Rebels a 1-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 on Monday.

The result came thanks to Olivia Bailey's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Emily Knerem was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

The victory got Garfield back to even at 7-7. As for Crestview, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Garfield will head out on the road to take on Canton Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-4 win against Newton Falls on the 30th.
