Softball Recap: Dearborn Comes Up Short

Dearborn lost against Lutheran back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pioneers came up short against the Warriors, falling 7-1.

Dearborn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Niveen Sleiman, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dearborn's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lutheran, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dearborn will host Glenn at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lutheran, they will welcome Lutheran Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
