Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Northmor

Northmor had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Danville Blue Devils. The Golden Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Northmor walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Northmor was led to victory by Kallie Wright and Mary Dean. Wright had 22 digs and five aces, while Dean had 12 digs. That's the most digs Wright has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Northmor was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 16 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, don't look at Kayley Sheldon. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two aces. Sheldon has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Northmor's record now sits at 4-0. As for Danville, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Northmor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Columbus Academy on the 23rd. As for Danville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Newcomerstown on the 23rd.
