Volleyball Game Preview: West Boca Raton Bulls vs. Monarch Knights

After both having extra time off, the West Boca Raton Bulls and the Monarch Knights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, West Boca Raton didn't have quite enough to beat Dr. Joaquin Garcia and fell 3-2.

West Boca Raton wouldn't go down easily and took Dr. Joaquin Garcia into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Donny Lam, who had 14 digs.

Meanwhile, Monarch came up short against Western on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Monarch was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

West Boca Raton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12. As for Monarch, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
