Soccer Game Preview: Nipomo vs. Arroyo Grande

Nipomo is 1-7 against Arroyo Grande since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m.

Last Monday, neither Nipomo nor Coast Union could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw.

Nipomo hit Coast Union with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chase Myers, Casey Lemus, Sebastian Zarate, and Kayson Jett.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Grande kept a clean sheet against Selma on Saturday. They blew past the Bears 3-0.

Arroyo Grande has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. Nipomo's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-2.

Nipomo might still be hurting after the 8-2 defeat they got from Arroyo Grande when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Nipomo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
