Volleyball Recap: Bishop Watterson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bishop Watterson entered their tilt with Bishop Hartley on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Hawks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-10, 25-20.

George Smith paced Bishop Watterson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Nick Powell and his 19 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Bishop Watterson pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Bishop Hartley, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Bishop Watterson will take on Dublin Jerome at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Hartley, they will challenge St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
