Baseball Recap: Gateway Regional Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bridgeton last Friday, Gateway Regional came back down to earth. The Gators came up short against the Haddon Heights Garnets on Friday, falling 17-2. The Gators have struggled against the Garnets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Gateway Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Haddon Heights, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Gateway Regional didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Pitman on the 25th. As for Haddon Heights, they will take on Burlington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Garnets 3.9, the Falcons 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
