Preview: Albany vs. Sci Academy
On Friday Albany take on Sci Academy at 7:00 PM. If the matchup is anything like the 58-40 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
The crowd came for a game last Friday, and Albany and Wright sure delivered. It was a contest that couldn't have wound up any closer, but Albany snuck past Wright for the 14-13 victory. No one put up better numbers for Albany than senior Justin Parrish, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 180 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-44, which was the final score in Sci Academy's tilt against Dutchtown. Sci Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-34.
Albany's win lifted them to 4-0 while Sci Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. Sci Academy's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Albany defensive front that amassed four sacks against Wright, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
