San Tan Charter proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Williams Vikings 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Roadrunners sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Tyrus Colomer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tommy Crupi, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braden Peasel, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
San Tan Charter's record now sits at 13-1. As for Williams, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.
