Basketball Game Preview: Porter Spartans vs. West Fork Gators

The Porter Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the West Fork Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Porter is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Crosby just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 53-45 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, West Fork also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Dayton by a score of 44-36. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Porter, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-14.

Porter strolled past West Fork in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 43-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Porter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
